Authentication is managed through standard Cloudflare API Tokens with granular permissions. The CLI stores your token securely in \1 with restricted permissions (0600). When executing commands, the client prioritizes flags (\1), falls back to environment variables (\1 / \1), and finally reads from the persisted configuration file. Tokens are never transmitted to third parties and communicate directly over TLS 1.3 to \1.
